One of the producers that I came across through "Neotrance Essentials" is Ryan Davis, who is probably my favorite techno producer at the moment. All of the mixes and compilations are good gateways for exploring artists that are working towards a more mythic, emotionally resonant sound. All of his productions and mixes are worthwhile.he started calling this more melodic but still minimal techno stuff "neotrance," which seems a poor name but is a good effort at differentiation. This style of music is currently the whole my musical diet, and while I'm sure this will shift soon I'm greatly enjoying the ride.Ģ things that immediately come to mind: an artist named Solee, who produces as well as operates Parquet Recordings.
